What started as my graduation project for PTI Coaching, Home Edition, a concept to encourage everyday exercise. Grew into a broader freelance collaboration. I went on to design packaging for their protein powder, window stickers for new store locations, and a back wall for their trade fair stand.

My Design Work for PTI Coaching

What started as my graduation project, Home Edition, developed in collaboration with PTI Coaching, evolved into an ongoing creative partnership. The project’s goal was simple: to make exercising at home more approachable and show that even small steps can lead to big health benefits. PTI was excited about the concept, and it led to further collaboration.

After Home Edition, I continued working with PTI as a freelance designer. From creating window stickers for their new store openings to designing a franchise fair display wall and packaging for their protein powder, I’ve had the chance to apply my design skills to a variety of brand touchpoints. It’s been a rewarding experience to see the brand grow while contributing to its visual identity across different projects.

What is Home Edition?

Home Edition cards help remote workers easily integrate strength exercises into their daily routine. Each card features a unique exercise, categorized as easy, medium, or difficult, and users are encouraged to use 4 cards daily, adjusting the intensity to suit their needs.

If unsure about an exercise, they can scan the card with the Home Edition app for an AR demonstration of the exercise. The app also offers additional exercises without cards and allows users to earn badges for achievements, along with information about the related benefits. Companies can provide the card set to their remote employees to improve health and productivity, reduce stress, and promote team building.

The creation proces

Home edition proces

This illustration captures the journey of creating Home Edition from concept to execution. It shows how I developed the initial idea, conducted research and interviews to understand the target audience’s needs, and refined the design elements to align with PTI Coaching’s vision for making fitness more accessible. The process involved gathering valuable insights, which helped shape the final concept, aiming to inspire people to incorporate more movement into their daily lives.

Freelance Design Projects with PTI Coaching

After Home Edition, I continued working with PTI on a series of freelance design projects that brought their brand to life in different contexts. From storefronts to packaging to event materials, each project was a chance to apply design thinking in a practical, high-impact way.

Location Launch Stickers

For new PTI locations in Tilburg and Geldrop, I designed promotional window stickers used during the construction phase. The goal was to stand out from typical banners. One side of the design was kept super simple with a "start" on one end and a "stop" on the other, encouraging passersby to interact by running against each other. This unique design aimed to create curiosity and engagement before the doors even opened.

Protein Packaging

For PTI’s protein powder, the goal was to keep it simple but give it a premium feel. I designed a clean label that fits the brand and feels fresh and trustworthy. As a subtle detail, I added a soft watermark-style logo in the background. It’s the kind of packaging that doesn’t shout but still stands out.

Franchise beurs stand

At the franchise fair the goal was to clearly show what PTI stands for without overloading the design. It was important to have a visual that placed the tablet in its natural setting within the gym, giving people an immediate sense of how the concept works. I also made sure to include PTI’s signature blue line and gave it more impact by adjusting the surrounding colors so it really stood out. The result was a clear and confident presentation of the brand.

My Design Process

Line

I keep things simple and focused to make sure each design hits the mark.

Research
I start by getting a clear understanding of the project. What does PTI want and how can I help achieve that, while considering things like time constraints and the bigger picture.

Concept Development
Next, I brainstorm ideas, sketch out some options and find the right direction that aligns with PTI’s goals.

Collaboration
I work closely with the PTI team, refining the designs based on their feedback to make sure we’re on the same page.

Execution
Once everything’s set, I fine-tune the details and prep it for production, ready to be sent to PTI.
